Know before you go
Best time to visit
June–September and December–February are dry and great for trekking. Shoulder months are quieter and greener.
Visas
Most nationalities get a 30-day visa on arrival or via the East Africa Tourist Visa.
Health
Yellow fever certificate required. Malaria prophylaxis recommended outside Kigali.
